What Clubhouses Do
Sample Programs and Activities
Member Reach-Out:
Part of the daily Clubhouse work includes keeping in contact with all active members. When a member does not attend the Clubhouse or is in the hospital, a “reach-out” telephone call or visit is made. This encourages member participation & acts as an early warning system for members that may need extra help.
Employment:
Clubhouse employment programs have helped hundreds of members return to work.
Education:
Provides a path back into the community. Includes tutoring & other in-house supports & assists members to pursue their educational goals.
Evening, weekend, & holiday social & recreational programming:
organized by members & staff together.
Community Support: assists members to overcome barriers to living independently. Includes benefits assistance, referrals to other services, advocacy & outreach.
